What is SMT Nozzles ?
The SMT nozzle is an essential component of the placement machine. It picks up the components by controlling the vacuum adsorption in the nozzle and then uses the blowing air to position the components adsorbing on the nozzle at the designated position on the circuit board.

Nozzle specifications
Each nozzle can only pick up and place a specific type of component, and the nozzle model and component size are proportional.
For standard components (1206, 0805, 0603, 0403, 0201, SOT, SOIC, QFP, BGA, etc.), the nozzle specifications are basically standard. Take Samsung SM as an example, 0805 component to CN065 nozzle , 0603 component to CN040 nozzle, etc. Of course, some special components need to be customized.

Nozzle material and feature
1. Teflon nozzle tip: Teflon nozzles are strong and long-lasting, but they are easily discolored.
2. Ceramic nozzle tip: The ceramic tip of the nozzle will never turn white, but it is extremely brittle and easily broken. Use with caution to prevent or minimize breakage.
3. Steel nozzle tip: durable, user-friendly, never whitish, but prohibitively expensive and inefficient.
4. Rubber nozzle tip: When the surface of the components is uneven or the material is sticky, the rubber nozzle nozzle is appropriate; however, the rubber nozzle nozzle's lifespan is short, so it is recommended to purchase additional rubber nozzle tips. When the plastic nozzle becomes worn, it can be replaced directly by the user.
Nozzle Shape
The suction nozzle has various shapes, including square hole, round hole, V groove, etc. The custom-made suction nozzles typically select a flat suction point based on the shape of the components; however, some are made into elongated suction nozzles and the grooves that extend into the material are drawn flat, while others are made into a back-shaped shape based on the edge of the material. Use flat surfaces at both ends, and if the middle is uneven, construct a bridge. Some materials are sticky and difficult to place, so the wall of the suction nozzle should be grooved or a plastic head should be created.
